Jeffrey Mitchell, born on October 31, 1980, in
Burlington, North Carolina, passed away on January 15, 2026, in his hometown of Burlington. He was 45 years old at the time of his passing.
Jeffrey dedicated his life to serving others and working with his hands. He applied his skills as an electrician, showcasing his dedication and expertise in every task he undertook.
Throughout his career, he served as a firefighter and EMT, roles in which he demonstrated bravery and compassion.
Beyond his professional life, Jeffrey was a devoted and loving father. He cherished every moment spent with his children, whether it was exploring the great outdoors or embarking on urban adventures together. His love for fishing, NASCAR along with drag racing was evident, and he often shared these passions with those closest to him.
Jeffrey is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ruth and Leonard Claude King, and his paternal grandparents, Rogers Bertin and Sarah Pauline Mitchell.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold him in their hearts: his children, Chandler Mitchell, Jackson Mitchell, and Grace Mitchell; his mother, Dianne Mitchell; his father, Jeff Mitchell and stepmother, Cynthie; his brother, Joey Mitchell; step brother Jason Myatt (Melissa) step sister Shelley Teer (Tyler) and his niece, Caroline Mitchell. He had a special love for his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A service to honor Jeffrey's life will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Camp Springs Community Church located at 9168 Cherry Grove Rd, Reidsville, NC 27320. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the funeral home to help lessen the financial burden.
