Jeffrey "Jeff" Needles

Jeffrey L. "Jeff" Needles, age 72, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 16, 1953, in Mount Vernon to the late Leland and Wilma (Kidner) Needles.

Jeff was an avid hunter and looked forward to each and every deer season and turkey season and enjoyed fishing every summer. He was an avid OSU sports fan and fan of the Cleveland Guardians. Jeff bowled for several years and played pool for more than half his life and enjoyed working on his old cars with his brothers. He was a dedicated garage saler, always looking for a deal or bargain.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kathy (Kunkel) Needles, his two sons, Daniel and Joshua Needles; brothers, Mike and Jim Needles; sisters, Ann (Kenny Tharp) Needles, Debbie Needles, Lori (Aaron) Swaim; along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Needles and a brother, Ronald Needles.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd. in Mount Vernon and one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Funeral services will be Tuesday at the funeral home starting at 12:00 PM with Mr. Roger Marra officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford Cemetery.
