Jeffrey Lenn "Jeff" Rhoads, age 58 passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his family on Tuesday afternoon, January 16, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born April 26, 1965, in Clarion, PA to Leo and Priscilla (Wingard) Rhoads.
In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mandy Rhoads, of Wheelersburg, Ohio; children, Jeffrey "Dusty" Rhoads (Courtney Justice), Cassandra Nicole Rhoads (Shaun Bartoe), Dakota (Lauren) Rhoads; siblings, Karen Keeler, Smokey (Wendy) Rhoads, Dave (Kim) Rhoads, Samuel (Jodi) Rhoads and Lane (Amanda) Rhoads. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Cadie Rhoads, Colin Hunter, Cloud Rhoads, Cohen Rhoads and Leilah Bartoe, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his two nephews, Anthony and Robert Rhoads.
Jeff was a diesel mechanic by trade as he was the sibling that followed in his father's footsteps, but he was not limited to one type of work. He was a guy that would give you the shirt off of his back and the last dollar if he saw that anyone had a need. If you know him, you will know a story where he gave more than he had with no care about what it cost him.
Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2024, from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kevin Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, money can be donated to the funeral home to help with his expenses at 202 Maple Ave., Oak Hill, Ohio 45656. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
