Jeffrey Scott Roskelley was born May 11, 1955 in Vans Nuys, California to Eugene Ray and Doris Mae Poindexter Roskelley. Jeff enlisted in the US Navy at 21 and later was given an honorable discharge. He married Janet Milles in 1973, they had two children Zachary Scott and Kami Lynn. Jeff and Janet later divorced. 

Jeff later met the love of his life, Karen Gailey Tompkins in 1981, then in January 20, 1982 they moved in together and have been happily married for 43 years. They have two children together. Darik Eugene Scott and Kelsey May. They also have two children from Karen’s marriage, Kasandra and David Tompkins, which made for a big happy family, his, mine and ours as we always said. Jeff loved and cherished them all and never treated them different. They were all his children. 

Jeff loved camping, fishing, deer hunting, woodworking and being with family and friends. Jeff worked many professions; carpentry, sales, warehouse manager, woodworking, truck driver and many other things. He made many friends alone the way and cherished each one. 

Jeff is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Roskelley, 6 children; Zachray and Kristy Roskelley, Sunset, Kami and Mitch Lay, Riverdale, Sandy and Jared Robinson, Delta, David and Cindy Tompkins, Fairbanks, Alaska, Darik Eugene Scott Roskelley, Ogden, Kelsey and Darrin Johns, West Point. Jeff has 17 grandkids with one on the way, and 6 great grandkids. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Eugene and Doris, and grandson, Kyidin Luke Johns. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Russon Mortuary, 1585 West 300 South, Syracuse, Utah. Friends and family may gather, Thursday, January 2, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday morning one hour prior to services, 9:45 -10:45 a.m. 

Services will be streamed live on Russon Mortuary Live Facebook page and this obituary page.

Interment West Point City Cemetery.
