I just heard about Jeff. So sad. Our parents and grandparents were very close family friends. I knew Jeff practically from birth. We didn´t grow up together in our early years, but the Rudds moved just around the block from us when Jeff and I were in junior high or high school. For 2-3 years almost every day after school we played basketball in Jeff´s driveway. Jeff was on the basketball team, I was far from it. But we had fun. And I could never beat him at ping pong. Several years later Jeff called me late one Saturday afternoon in May 1976 to join him on his date that evening with another family (girl) friend of ours, who was bringing along a girlfriend of hers. My blind date became my wife 7 months later, and now for 46 years. I am forever grateful to Jeff for that. Though we hadn´t seen each other in several decades, Jeff was a very important person in my early life and will always be remembered.
