Williamsburg-Jeffrey “Jeff” Slaymaker was born May 16, 1961, the son of Thomas and Maralyn (Stahl) Slaymaker. He graduated from Williamsburg High School. Jeff was united in marriage to Lisa Hull on March 23, 1985. Jeff worked 33 years at the Iowa County Road Department. He enjoyed watching his children in sporting events, reading, doing trivia, riding his motorcycle with Lisa, cooking together, watching the Iowa Hawkeye’s football and basketball and spending time with his family. Jeff passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 with his family by his side at the age of 61 years.
He is survived by his wife Lisa of 37 years, children, Eric Slaymaker (Jess) of Williamsburg, Cord Slaymaker (Erin) of New London and Kali Slaymaker (Chance Wetjen) of Williamsburg; two grandchildren, Charlie Ann Slaymaker and Brooks Thomas Wetjen; his mother, Maralyn Slaymaker of Williamsburg; a sister, Sherri Slaymaker (Peter Knowles) of Denver, CO; a niece, Olivia Knowles and a nephew, Will Knowles. He was preceded in death by his father Tom in 2021 and a brother Jay Thomas Slaymaker.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Stone Creek Country Club in Williamsburg. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Williamsburg Fire Department. Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg is caring for Jeff and his family.
