Jeffrey Lee Spess, 69, of Upper Macungie Twp., passed away on November 10, 2025 at home. He was the husband of the late Linda D. (Peterson) Spess. Jeff was a manager at the PA State Liquor Store in Schnecksville for 30 years until retiring in 2011. Jeff was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Claire B. (Gillespie) Spess of Coplay and the late Vincent E. Spess. He was a 1974 graduate of Catasauqua High School.

He played trombone in the US Coast Guard and Catasauqua High School band. Over the years, Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle rides and meeting up with friends. He was a longtime patron of the Kuhnsville Hotel.

Survivors: Mother: Claire, Sister: Diane, her husband Ari Nigam of Westfield, NJ, Brother: David, his wife Patience of Macungie, and many Nieces and Nephews, Caretaker: David Rissmiller of Kuhnsville.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 11 A.M. at the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton Sts. Allentown. Interment to follow the memorial service at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.

Jeffery, you just graduated from fresh water to salt water. You stand relieved from your watch. A job well done fellow navy veteran.
