Mr. Jeffrey Ray “Jeff” Stratton, 68, of Kathwood Drive, Elberton, husband of 44 years to Wanda Lynn Harris Stratton, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Jeff was born in Elberton on May 30, 1957, the youngest son of the late Frank Jefferson Stratton, Jr. and Jacquelyn “Jackie” Gaines Stratton. He was a 1975 graduate of Elbert County High School and was currently employed with Whitlow Electric.
Affectionately known as “Strat” to many, Jeff enjoyed coaching softball. His love of sports carried on as he never missed an opportunity to be on the sidelines supporting his grandchildren in all of their sporting endeavors. He enjoyed washing cars and cutting grass, and never missed an opportunity to watch the Georgia Bulldogs play.
In addition to his wife, Wanda, he is survived by his daughters: Torri DeAnna Mills and Whitley Rae Bellew and her husband Justin; grandchildren: Dawson Mills, Bryson Mills, Presley Bellew, Maddox Bellew, and Kolynns Bellew; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, Jeff is preceded in death by his brother, Roger Dale Stratton.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, from 2:00-3:30p.m. at Berry Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 4:00p.m in the funeral home chapel, officiated by the Rev. Kenny Martin. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery at a later date. To honor Jeff’s love for the Georgia Bulldogs, the family request everyone attending to wear red and black jerseys and hats, or any UGA attire.
Flowers are accepted, and contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at berryfh.com.
