Jeffrey T Strub

Jeffrey Todd Strub, age 59, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2025, at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at the Ellsworth Funeral Home.
Jeff was born on December 15, 1965, to William Harwig and Joyce McGraw. He grew up in Iowa, where he was raised by Gene and Nancy Strub, and attended Eagle Grove Community High School. During his school years, Jeff was active in both cross country and track. He later earned his College Preparatory and Advanced High School Diploma.
Following high school, Jeff served his country in the National Guard and Army Reserves. After his service, he returned to Sioux Falls and joined his father in the floorcovering business. Jeff eventually started his own flooring business in Madison, where he worked closely with Montgomery's and built lasting relationships with his customers and coworkers.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce McGraw; uncle, Ernie Harwig; and sister-in-law, Cherry Harwig.
He is survived by his father Bill (Cathy) Harwig of Baltic; sister, Rhonda (Mike McVey) Ebsen of Lake Herman; brothers, Tom Harwig of Parkston, SD, Mark (Jodee) Strub of Johnston, IA, Nick Strub of Minneapolis, MN, and Cody Harwig of Baltic, SD; sister, Amanda Harwig of Sioux Falls, SD; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles whom he dearly loved.
