Our loving husband, father, Papa, son and brother, Jeff, was called home on November 14th, 2025 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born to Mike and Debbie (Hansen) Van Tassell on Jan 16th, 1970 in St. George, Utah.
He married the love of his life, Alissa (Martin) on March 19, 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Jeff could be a stubborn man but always had everyone laughing. There was a tender side of him that not many got to see. His constant teasing of his mom, sisters, kids and grandkids would drive them all crazy but have created some of the best memories. He was very creative when it came to embarrassing his daughters. Trying out new places to eat and going to concerts was always a regular activity for him, his wife, and their son. His love for his family was immense, especially when it came to his grandkids. He worked hard as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed BBQing, going fishing, camping in his canvas tent with his wife, cruising around the property on the three-wheeler with his grandkids and hanging out with his dog Gus.
He is survived by his wife, Alissa, daughters, Danell Rayl, Chelstiene Ronur (Abhilash), and son Bradley Van Tassell, parents Mike and Debbie Van Tassell, sisters, Kim Van Tassell (Jerry Jobe), Lori Hathaway (Travis), grandchildren Ashlynn, Lydia, Paisley, Michael, Everest, Atlas, Nile, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother Danny Van Tassell.
A viewing will be held at Cannon Mortuary on 2460 E, Bengal Blvd (7600 S), Friday November 21st 2025 from 6pm to 8pm.
