Paul Russell Staker, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, age 74 passed away on November 5th, 2025, at St. Marks Hospital surrounded by his family. Born April 27th, 1951, in Murray, Utah to Wayne and Helen Thorpe Staker. Married Lawna Park on July 27th, 1968, in Salt Lake City. Paul was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a true outdoorsman. Fishing, hunting and camping were some of his favorite things to do. He was an avid shooter. John Wayne was his idol, and the Denver Broncos was his team. He was a retired meat inspector for the State of Utah. Survived by his wife Lawna Staker, his children Jason (Teresa) Staker, Shane Staker, and Jared (Brianna) Staker. His grandchildren Kaleb, Destiny, Hunter, Catalina, Julissa, Olivia, and Greyson, and great grandchild River, his sister Sue (Rod) Meyer, and his brother Scott (Robin) Staker. He is preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Helen Staker, his brother Gary Staker and his grandson Dakota Staker. A viewing will be held on November 18, 2025, viewing 10:30 – 11:45 a.m., followed by a memorial service 12:00 p.m. at the Butler Hills Ward, 2695 East Fort Union Blvd (7200 South), Salt Lake City, UT 84121
