With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Jenifer Rose McMahan, who left this world far too soon at the age of 35. Born on March 25, 1990, in Spokane, Washington, to parents Barry and Julie, Jeni brought joy and light to everyone she met. She was full of love and joy despite her courageous battle with addiction and mental health. Jeni remained a soul full of love, kindness, and deep compassion. In her final years, she spent cherished time in sunny Florida, creating beautiful memories with her family - moments that we will cherish and live on in our hearts forever.
Jeni had a special way of seeing the world. She enjoyed and was drawn to nature, "creepy crawly" creatures, fireworks, tattoos, and art - always able to find and celebrate the beauty in life's smallest and strangest corners. She was especially generous and kind to everyone she met and selfless giving of her love. Often going the extra mile to care for those whom others might overlook and not give the time of day; she went out of her way to see the good in them and show them a little extra love. Her empathy and open-heartedness were truly rare gifts. She truly had a gift of appreciating the beauty in all things.
Jeni was survived by her grandma Joy, loving mother, Julie and father Barry as well as her brother Jarod and 4 sisters, Marla, Kim, CJ and Sienna.
Though our hearts ache in the absence with losing her, we take comfort in knowing Jeni is finally at peace and free from pain. May her memory live on to inspire and be a light to others - a reminder to choose life, to be kind, and to see beauty in the world around us.
