Jenna M. Stampe, 66, of Reinbeck, Iowa died on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, June 29, 2010 at Prairie Lakes Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa with Pastor John Fuller officiating. Burial will follow at Fredsville Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery near Cedar Falls. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 28 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Engelkes-Abels Dike Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Arthritis Foundation. Jenna was born March 8, 1946 in Garrett, Indiana, daughter of Virgil and Ruth (Campbell) Gustin. She grew up in Fort Wayne IN where she attended school as well as school in Churubusco, IN. Jenna met the love of her life, Richard Stampe, in 1963 while cruising in her English Ford in Churubusco, IN. They were married on June 13, 1964 and added quickly to their family. A daughter, Shelly, was born in 1965. A son, Rich was born in 1967 and another son, Ryan, born in 1974. She was also a loving mom to twenty some foster kids. She was a mother and home maker first of all but enjoyed a variety of work outside the home including Teters Flowers, Walmart, Barn Happy and contract work for the Dike/New Hartford Prom. She was always busy with many craft projects, lunches with lady friends, planning parties and attending bible study. Besides spending time with her family and friends which she enjoyed most of all, Jenna loved life and enjoyed riding her four wheeler in the Black Hills, skiing in the mountains, and riding in her Corvette or Tbird down the county roads. Jenna was a member at Prairie Lakes Community Church where she and Dick were part of the Elderberry group, volunteer greeters, and involved in many other facets with the church body. Her relationship with the Lord was very important and a source of strength to her when encountering tough times. Jenna was always known for her positive attitude, loving spirit and sincere friendliness to all. A friend recently said, "Jenna was both extremely loving and helpful to people completely sold out to Jesus Christ and willing to serve the Kingdom in every capacity. This is an example of the Christian communities' loss is Heaven's gain." Surviving is Jenna's husband, Richard; daughter, Shelly and her husband, Steve Miller of Spearfish, South Dakota; sons, Rich Stampe and his wife, Karie of Dike, and Ryan Stampe and his wife, Karen of Pella; grandchildren, Courtney, Cheri and Nicholas Stampe, and Joshua, Caleb, and Joseph Miller; great-grandson, Bently Dirks; sister, Judy Zaring and her husband Zeke of Ft. Meyers, Florida; brother, Joe Gustin and his wife, Anna of Acworth, Georgia; and by numerous foster daughters and sons. Jenna was preceded in death by her parents.
