Jennie Lou Hennesay, born on January 19, 1941, in Miami, New Mexico to Hal Anderson and Vera Goeble, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025.

Jennie was a remarkable woman whose creativity and spirit touched countless lives. She was an artist in every sense, crafting beautiful jewelry, handmade soaps, and natural medicines that reflected her deep love for nature and her thoughtful care for others. Jennie found her greatest joy in her garden, where she nurtured life and found peace among her plants and flowers.

A fiercely independent and resilient woman, Jennie faced life’s challenges with strength and grace. She was deeply loved by all who knew her, not only by her family, but by the many friends and community members who were inspired by her kindness and creativity. Jennie was an exceptional mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Charlotte Carroll, Danny Joe Hennesay, Lucretia Bartell, and James Hennesay; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hal and Vera Anderson,  her beloved daughter, Virginia Corley, and great grandson, Donovan Vaughn.

Jennie’s memory will forever live on in the beauty she created, the love she shared, and the lives she touched.
