Mark Dana Duffy, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on March 23, 1950, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Mark spent his formative years in Amarillo, Texas. He was a proud graduate of Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, an experience that shaped his character and resilience throughout his life.

Mark began his professional journey as a certified plumber and plumbing parts salesman, showcasing his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft. In 1982, he made Lubbock, Texas, his home, where he established himself in the community as the owner of Lone Star Homes for many years. Later, he transitioned to becoming an independent insurance agent, a role that allowed him to assist people in securing their futures.

A passionate golfer, Mark was not only a scratch golfer but had the talent and ambition to pursue a professional career in the sport. His love for the game was matched only by his enthusiasm for watching all sports, often sharing moments of joy and camaraderie with family and friends. In his youth, he even enjoyed a stint as a horse jockey, showcasing his adventurous spirit and love for competition.

Mark is survived by his sons, Mark, John, and Josh, who carry on his legacy, as well as his brother Chuck Duffy and sister Gale Kenison; aunt, Margaret Womack. He was a proud grandfather to Brandon Duffy and Sara Sonsalla; three great-grandchildren, Luna Duffy, Dua Duffy and Carter Sonsalla.

Mark's life will be celebrated in a memorial service that will take place at a later date. Friends and family are invited to gather to share memories and honor the remarkable life he lived.As we reflect on Mark's life, we remember a man who embraced each day with zeal and a love for life that inspired others. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who cherished him.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Charles Duffy, mother, Imogene Lyle, and brother, John Duffy.
