Ms. Jennie Lee Jennie was born on December 31, 1962, to Robert D. Jenkins and Melinese Dumas Jenkins in Barnesville, Georgia. "Peaches" as she was affectionately called by her family and friends received her formal education in the Henry County School System.

Jennie Lee Jenkins accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was affiliated with Macedonia Baptist Church.

Ms. Jennie Lee Jenkins met the love of her Mr. Henry Sands and was united in holy matrimony on July 30, 2021, in Griffin, Georgia.

Jennie Lee was employed over the years at Hardees, and Dundee Mills, until retirement. In her leisure time she enjoyed dancing, cracking jokes, she was always the life of the party, and most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

On Saturday, August 23, 2025, Ms. Jennie Lee "Peaches" Jenkins' name was called, and she answered and was free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Melinese Dumas Jenkins; sister, Mary Ann Jenkins, granddaughter, JaCayla Gregory, and mother-in-law, Mary Lee Sands.

Ms. Jennie Lee "Peaches" Jenkins leaves a legacy of memories to be cherished in the heart of her husband, Henry Sands; two daughters, Constance (Mike) Sweet, and Erika "Boot" Jenkins; her son, Casper (Tesha) Jenkins; bonus son, Daquavion Sands; grandchildren, Senquavious Driver, Eionde Driver, David Woolforlk, III, Nevaeha Johnson, Jacory Gregory, Jr., Ayunah Wright, Cassidy Jenkins, Carter Jenkins, and Cartier Jenkins; her siblings, Bessie (Johnny) Elliott, Jeon Jenkins, Clarence Jenkins, and Bobbie Ann (Stacey) Colquitt; father-in-law, Albert J. Sands, Sr.; in-laws, Beulah Sinkfield, Tammy (Charles) Pigee, Geraldine (Theron) Stewart, Eddie (Barbara) Freeman, Albert Sands, Jr., Dexter (Terita) Sands, and Sharon Bass; special friends, Frank Matthews, Pennie Hunt, Mary Redding, Shaniua Harris, Ratasha Giles, Key Odoms, and the Body Family. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. Service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Garden. Pastor Gregory Tyler, Sr., is the Eulogist.
