Duane E. Jenkins of Browns Mills passed away suddenly on August 31, 2025 at his home. He was 58. The son of the late Charles and Dona Faye (nee MacPherson) Jenkins, he was born on the stroke of midnight, doctor claimed he was born on October 2nd, nurses the first, but his mom decided that the first-born son should have a birthdate of the 1st. For a brief blip of time Duane was "the baby" of the family and garnered much attention. He had an idyllic young childhood, growing up in a 2 bedroom bungalow on the lakefront in Browns Mills. Duane loved his simple and quiet life with a childhood surrounded by extended family with large gatherings. Duane graduated from Pemberton Township High School and Rider College and returned to work in the family well drilling business, J.W. Jenkins and Sons Well Drilling, Inc. He remained dedicated to the business, running the office out of his home. Duane enjoyed reading, everything Disney, and spending time with his nieces and nephews, who he referred to as 'his kids," they were everything to him. Duane lived his life for everyone else and always made sure everyone else was taken care of. In spite of being stubborn and set in his ways, he was a funny guy and had a heart of gold. He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Todd and Stacy, Bryan and Melinda, and his nephews and nieces: Colby Liam, Lola Isabella, Zachary Curtis, and Sydney Morgan. Duane was very specific about no services, contributions in his memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Southern NJ, 550 Mickle Ave., Camden, NJ 08103. https://rmhsnj.org/donate-now/
