Jennie R. Mangina, 92, of Enon Valley passed away the morning of June 8, 2025 at Edison Manor.
Born in Hillsville, PA on June 22, 1932, Jennie was the daughter of the late Peter and Cecilia Pezzuolo Merolillo.
Jennie moved to New Castle and in 1955 married her beloved husband, Gerald Mangina. Gerald preceded her in death.
In the early years Jennie had worked for Bell Telephone. She then worked at the Youth Development Center as Assistant to the Director, until she retired. Jennie later worked at Church of Genesis.
Jennie was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and the former St. Vincent de Paul Church, where she also taught Sunday School Classes. She dedicated her life to her family. Jennie also enjoyed cooking, baking and watching game shows on television.
Jennie is survived by her two sons, John Mangina (Marion) of Enon Valley, PA and Frank Mangina (Cathy) of New Castle, PA, her sister, Rita Stull of New Castle, PA, two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jennie was preceded in death by five sisters, Antonette Frank, Josephine Vignolli, Treasa Dragon, Virginia Keenan and Mary Cafaro, six brothers, Carmen, Pete, Frank, Louis, John and Joe Merolillo and her great-granddaughter, Angelina Stone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Benjamin Barr, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
