Jennie Woods Obituary
Ms. Jennie Love Woods, age 72, of Person County, departed this life Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, NC. She was born in Caswell County August 14, 1950 to the late Earl Love, Sr. and Bertha Woods Love, but made her home in Roxboro and was a member of Zion Christian Center.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings: Margaret Wiley, Benjamin Love, Amos Love, Mamos Love, James Monroe Love, Earl Love, Jr., Hattie Snipes, Sarah Beatrice Smith, Monnie Brown, Ruby Glass and Tyson Love, Sr.: and special niece, Linda Love.
She is survived by eight children: Angelia Burton, Richard Woods, III (Beverly) and Michelle Stewart (Joseph), all of Roxboro, Derrick Woods (Glynis) of Greensboro, NC, Brenda Cash and Jennifer Woods, both of Roxboro, Donta Woods (Cynthia) of Kannapolis, NC and Randy Woods (Tabitha), also of Roxboro; twenty-one grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Odessa Easterling of Greensboro; one brother, Elbert M. Love (Hazel) of Sacramento,, CA; special niece, Brenda Love of Roxboro; special nephews: Tyson Love, Jr. and Keith Love, Sr.; special friend, George Stanfield of Leasburg, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 at 12:00pm at Zion Christian Center, 2850 Virgilina Road, Roxboro, NC 27574, with the Reverend Danny Johnson, Pastor, providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Faith Christian Church Cemetery, 1725 Semora Road, Roxboro, NC 27574. Visitation will be Sunday at Cunningham and Nelson Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, with the family present during the last hour from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
Her body will lie in state at the church Monday from 11:00am to 12:00pm, one hour prior to the service.
At other times, the family will receive visitors at her home, 314 Burch Avenue, Roxboro, NC 27573.
