Jennifer Lee Britton died peacefully Friday, November 7th, 2025. She was born in Rochester, January 11, 1972, the daughter of the late Paul J. Britton and Elaine Britton originally of Rochester, NH. She leaves her mother, Elaine of Bradenton, FL, brother Christopher Britton of Haverhill, MA, sister Kimberly Bourque and her husband Jacob Bourque of Somersworth, her aunt Sun-Chae Letendre of Henderson, Nevada, first cousins Christina Gluhaich, Donald Letendre, and Michelle Letendre of California, Godmother and aunt, Janet Letendre of Rollinsford, as well as many cousins including Lisa Letendre of Edenborough, Scotland, and Warren Letendre of Somersworth.
Jennifer was a member of the Spaulding High School color guard from 1985-1989 as well as the Rochester Area Community Chorus with her father from 1984-1987. She was a 1991 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas in Dover, NH who then attended Plymouth State College to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in secondary mathematics education. Ms. Britton (m. Patsos) worked at Pittsfield Middle School where she served as department head for several years. She also spent one year teaching at Spaulding High School in Rochester (1998), Alvirne High School in Hudson (2006), and the Academy for Science and Design (2010). Disabled after fourteen years of teaching, she earned a Master of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University in 2018.
Ms. Britton enjoyed a variety of interests including the arts, spending time with loved ones, puzzles, and good food. Most especially, she loved teaching mathematics to the hundreds of students she had the privilege to serve. She lived with her partner, Stephen T. Archie of Dover, NH for the last five years of her life.
Family and friends may visit Sun. Nov. 23, 2025, from 11 PM to 1 PM in the chapel of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester NH 03867 With a Service to follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Rochester.
