Jennifer Anita Gaskin, affectionately known as Jen, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, at the age of 47. A beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend, Jen’s radiant spirit touched all who had the joy of knowing her. She resided in South Euclid, Ohio, and faced her final days with grace, faith, and unwavering love for her family.
Jen was born on July 27, 1977, in Cleveland, Ohio. A proud graduate of Cleveland Heights High School, Class of 1995, she briefly attended the University of Akron before beginning her career in banking. Gifted with numbers and an impeccable work ethic, Jen went on to build a successful, tenured career with Progressive Insurance, where she was known for her reliability, warmth, and kind spirit.
Family was the cornerstone of Jen’s life. She had a passion for life’s simple pleasures as well. Her character was defined by honesty, kindness, and quiet strength. Even through illness, Jen never lost her zest for living. She remained committed to her self-care. Her hair, nails, and waxing appointments were never missed.
Her laughter, although a soft giggle, was infectious and her presence was comforting. Jen loved reggae music, 90s R&B, basketball, football and traveling. Her favorite basketball team was the Lakers because of her brother & father. But her favorite football team was the Cleveland Browns because of her son Aaron. That was their Sunday routine! Her favorite vacations were Jamaica, Universal Studios, Put-In-Bay, Virginia Beach and Canada.
Though she was unable to attend church due to her illness, Jen was rooted in her Christian faith. Her belief guided her with peace, patience, and resilience. Her legacy lives on in her children’s smiles, the memories shared by her family, and the lives she touched with her warmth and laughter. Her spirit will forever dance in our memories. Rest in peace, beautiful soul. We will carry her with us forever.
She leaves behind her three adored children: Anthony Stevens (28), and twins Aaron and Ariel Williams (24). She is also survived by her loving siblings: Greg Gaskin (Jeannine) and their children Maurice, Jasmine, Kevin, and Isaiah; and her sister Nikki Gaskin and her children Destiny and Jayden. Jen’s circle of love extended to her cherished best friends Michelle Thomas, Tasha Morris, Jackie Rice, & Diane Rentz, and to Sharan Johnson, a dear family friend who was like a second mother to her. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones in Barbados, Florida, and Canada.
