Jennifer Evelyn Gettle

Jennifer Evelyn Gettle, 79, of Finksburg, Maryland, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the Carroll Hospital Center. Born March 14, 1946 in Baltimore she was the daughter of the late David Benny Wire, Jr. and Myra Jean Nickles Wire. Her husband Raymond Edward Gettle died on October 22, 2004.

Before retiring she was the cafeteria manager at William Winchester Elementary School. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church; she enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by 3 daughters Tamara Ann Carver (John) of Manchester, Shannon Lynn Robinson (Michael) of Greencastle, PA. and Candice Rae Benton of Taneytown; 2 sisters Cheryl Fowler of Union Bridge and Wanda Gail Britton of Westminster; one brother Robert Wire of Catonsville; 12 grandchildren Rebecca, Matthew, Kristina, Lindsay and Timothy Carver, Alexandra Wise (Brian), Tristan, Michael Jr. (Francesca), Jordan and Mac Robinson, Brittany and Daniel Benton; 8 great-grandchildren Draven, Jaxyn, Jaxson, Annabelle, Wyatt, Mason, Sophie and Bridget. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by a granddaughter Juliana Carver and a brother David Wire.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with her pastor, Rev. Michael Ritt officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg, Maryland.
