It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer (Shuba) Giammarino, 52, of Binghamton, NY, on August 19, 2025. She was a treasured wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, beloved sister, and loyal friend.
Jennifer is survived by her husband of 28 years, Rocco Giammarino, and their sons, Giuseppe and Luciano, who were the loves of her life. She loved her sons totally and without condition; her devotion to them was the heart of her world.
She is also survived by her father Edmund Shuba, brother Anthony Shuba, and sister Catherine (Shuba) Malarkey. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored her. Jenny had countless friends whose lives were brightened by her love and friendship. She was predeceased by her mother and best friend, Marie (Tino) Shuba, whose heavenly embrace she now rests within.
Jennifer will be remembered not only for her beauty and devotion to her family, but also for her fantastic sense of humor, which could bring joy and laughter to any moment. Her greatest joy was creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, delicious Italian food, and love. She took pride in thoughtfully decorating her home with beautiful and cherished items, each one reflecting her creativity and care for those she welcomed through her doors. Despite the challenges she faced, her light and spirit shone brightly and will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 25th, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church in Binghamton, where Jennifer was a lifelong parishioner, with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the church.
