Jennifer Jane Knapp, 69, of Marietta, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Ephrata Hospital.

Jennifer was the daughter of the late Lola Vee and Ed Wilson, and was born on September 17th, 1956, in Sycamore, Illinois. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Mike and Greg Wilson.

Jennifer was a graduate of Millersville University (B.S. Psychology) and York College (B.S. Nursing). She found her calling as a compassionate Home Health Nurse, serving for 35 distinguished years and bringing comfort and care to countless patients. Her dedicated professional life was a reflection of her caring nature.

Jennifer was an active volunteer at the Susquehanna Waldorf School during Tim and Mike’s Early Childhood and Elementary School years. From Facilities Management to Fund Raising, she was leading the charge. She was also a devoted member of the Unitarian Universalist congregation of York, where she found her spiritual home.

Jennifer found immeasurable joy in loving people and animals. Her deep compassion led her to volunteer countless hours at two local animal shelters. A dedicated advocate for them, her home was generally inhabited by a lively collection of cats, dogs, fish, and lizards. Her greatest hobby, however, was making friends. Coffee or lunch became a cherished excuse to gather with friends, nurturing the bonds that meant so much to her.

Most importantly, Jennifer valued her family. She was united in marriage with her loving husband, Dave, on October 4, 1980, and they recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. She found no greater joy than doting on her children and grandchildren.

Jennifer leaves behind her devoted husband, Dave; her two beloved sons, Tim and Mike; two precious grandchildren, Luca and Arthur; and a host of other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on December 13th. The family will share further details when available. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, please send donations to the Susquehanna Waldorf School (https://aegernev.donorsupport.co/-/XHHURLTS).
