Jennifer Denise Sawyer, born on March 31, 1982, in Brenham, Texas, departed this world on November 1, 2025, in
College Station, Texas. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Raised by her grandmother, Jessie Mae, Jennifer blossomed into a woman of warmth and light. Her laughter filled rooms, reflecting her illuminating spirit and her unwavering desire to connect with others. Jennifer had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever she went, transforming strangers into lifelong companions with her genuine kindness. Her career in customer service was fueled by this passion for connection. Additionally, her daily ritual of calling people to check on them showcased her innate nurturing nature.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Jennifer cherished her family above all. She and her beloved husband, Kurtis B. Sawyer, were together for 15 years, celebrating 12 wonderful years of marriage. From making it official on December 10, 2010, to their wedding on May 15, 2013, their bond was a testament to the power of love and devotion. Jennifer found profound joy in her role as a wife and a mother, always ensuring that everyone around her felt cared for and nourished.
Jennifer had a zest for life and a spirit of adventure that led her to discover new places and experiences. Whether it was a trip to the coast or simply exploring something new, she embraced every opportunity to broaden her horizons, no matter how big or small. Her passion for travel was beautifully matched by her love for nature, especially the ocean and beach, where she found both solace and excitement.
Jennifer had a lively spirit reflected in her love for horror films and R&B music, and her fascination with shows like Criminal Minds revealed her inquisitive nature. Her deep admiration for LeBron James added a touch of fun to her life, while her collections - of socks, clothes, and perfume - highlighted her playful side. Above all, her most prized possessions were her wedding bands, symbols of a love she cherished deeply.
Jennifer's faith was a cornerstone of her life; she loved Jesus Christ and sought to please Him in all that she did. Her goodness flowed into every aspect of her life, helping everyone she could and ensuring that those around her were taken care of. As a hopeless romantic, she not only dreamed of love, but lived her dreams, inspiring everyone with her beautiful heart.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her father, Robert Felder; her grandmother, Jessie Mae Griffin; her great-grandparents, Oscar and Esther Griffin; six great-uncles-James, Willie C., John, Fred, Ernest, and Charles Griffin; and two great-aunts-Audrey and Annie Griffin.
Jennifer leaves behind a legacy of love through her six beloved children: Jalia Cole, Germillia Crawford , Germaine Crawford , GerQueria Crawford , Germarick Crawford, and Germarious Crawford. Her devotion to her children was unwavering, and they remain her greatest joy and accomplishment.
She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings: Kade Felder of Chappell Hill, Texas, Draylen Williams and Robert Felder III of Washington; sister Kanitra Cloud of Brenham, Texas. Her uncles Elvie and John Felder of Washington; great-uncles, Oscar Jr. and Ricky Griffin, both of Washington, Texas; great-aunt, Tammy Griffin of Navasota, Texas; and aunts, Legina Felder of Washington, Texas and, Chaka Davenport of Hutto, Texas ; Grandchildren; Jaida, Jamieer, Jayceeon, Jalani, Samaria, Kaylani, and Tudarrius Jr. Jennifer also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Her visitation will be held on November 20, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Hillier Funeral Home of College Station, located at 4080 Texas 6 Frontage Rd,
College Station, TX 77845. A graveside service will follow at the Aggie Field of Honor at 3:25 PM.
Jennifer Sawyer's legacy of love and laughter will never be forgotten, and those who had the privilege of knowing her will carry her spirit in their hearts forever.
