Jennifer Lynn Sullivan, Age 53 of
Hainesport, NJ passed away after a short but fierce battle with colon cancer on September 12, 2023. She was born to Marie and Charles Durante on October 25, 1969.
Jennifer grew up in Delran, graduated from Delran High School and was a 1992 graduate of West Chester University. After graduation she worked for Canon Financial Services. But Jen's favorite role in life was the role she played in her family. On September 13, 1997 she married the love of her life, Don Sullivan and went on to create a beautiful family with their four daughters: Erin (21), Amanda (19), Sydney (18), and Courtney (11). Jennifer was well loved in the Hainesport and Rancocas Valley communities for having been an actively involved "Soccer Mom", "Lacrosse Mom", "Dance Team Mom" "NFM" they called her... she was the all around "Gate Keeper" to all things her girls were involved in... She was the "World's Greatest Mom".
Jennifer's favorite place to be was at the beach and she thoroughly enjoyed her summers at their beach house in
Brigantine, NJ and the community they actively engaged with at the Brigantine Yacht Club. Jen loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. She always made time for the people she loved. Friends knew if they had a long drive they could call Jen on the phone to keep them company on a ride or to pop by and catch up over a cup of coffee or a cocktail. She was a mom to all her nieces, nephews and daughters' friends. Everyone knew they were always welcome to stay for dinner, overnight, a weekend or even a summer!
As a huge animal lover, Jennifer always had a houseful of dogs at any given time. She was a foster parent to dogs in the seeing eye program raising and training dogs who would eventually be rehomed to a blind person in need. She was always so proud when she would receive a letter from one of her Seeing Eye dogs' new owners with updates on how her puppies were doing and what a difference they made in their new family's lives.
Jennifer is predeceased by her father: Charles Durante. She is survived by her husband Donald, four daughters: Erin, Amanda, Sydney and Courtney as well as her mother Marie Durante, sisters Christine Durante and Linda (Larry) Urwiler, mother and father-in-law, Ann and Donald Sullivan, sisters-in-laws Kathy (Joe) Shanahan, Diane (Gene) Smierciak, Debbie (Nick) Canzoneri and dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private funeral services will be held for Jennifer's family at Perinchief Chapels 438 High Street,
Mount Holly, NJ followed by a burial at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to join the family at Prospector's Steakhouse & Saloon 3050 NJ-38,
Mount Laurel, NJ for a CELEBRATION OF JEN'S LIFE Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 3-6pm.
In lieu of flowers, Jennifer would want you to please go get your colonoscopy and maintain regular health checkups.
