Jennifer Kennedy Turner, 51, of Mint Hill, died Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Novant Medical Center Presbyterian Campus in Charlotte.
Jennifer was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on January 23, 1971, the daughter of Jimmy and Jean Campbell Kennedy. Her family moved to Charlotte and she grew up there, graduating from Independence High School. After school, she attended Carteret Community College where she studied Therapeutic Recreation. She went on to work at Developmental Disabilities Resources as a Direct Care worker. When not working, she loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was the life of the party and her laughter would brighten the whole room. Most of all, she loved the time she spent with her daughter and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jennifer is survived by her daughter, Courtney (Bradley) Jolly of Mint Hill; her brother David (Isabel) Kennedy of Mint Hill; her older adoptive brother, James; her sister, Gina (Robby) Lemons of Mint Hill; an aunt Jo Bobbitt; and a person very special to her heart, Adrian. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Wyatt and Aubree; her Yorkie Lala; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Jennifer walked into rooms full of strangers and left behind rooms full of friends. She was preceded by her grandparents and an uncle.
Jennifer s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for her and for them. A gathering to celebrate her life, love and blessing will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday, August 29, in the funeral home chapel, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC. Private interment will take place later at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Charlotte.
