Jenny Renee Rivers

Jenny Renee Rivers, 51, of Griffin, died Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital. Born in Griffin, April 16, 1974, she was a daughter of Caryn Smith Lushbaugh and the late Charles Terry Rivers. Jenny formerly worked for Pike Manor for sixteen years and later worked as a private home care nurse. She loved gardening and especially loved sunflowers. She was always there for anyone in their time of need. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to cook and bake cookies with her grandchildren. She was the "Queen Bee" of the hive. Jenny was an early riser. Always soft spoken, Jenny will be remembered for her curls, dimples, and smiles, but most of all, her kind heart. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband of thirty-five years, Thomas "Tommy" Ward; sons, Justin Dwayne "Justipooh" Rivers and wife Rebekah of Peachtree City, Thomas James "TJ" Ward, Jr. and Joshua Elijah Lee Ward of Griffin; grandchildren, Legacy, Kaylie, Mary, Gilen, Maury, Daniel, and Josiah; sisters, Cherry Rivers and Denise Clum; step-siblings, Billy and Sabrina Brisco: and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Jenny Renee Rivers will be conducted Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Taylor McKneely officiating.
