Jeremiah Joseph Gaither, age 47, of Whitesboro, TX, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025.
Jeremiah was born on August 25, 1977, in Arlington, TX, where he was raised and graduated from Martin High School. He went on to build a career as a general contractor, a profession that allowed him to work with his hands and do what he loved.
Jeremiah married the love of his life, Krysta Baker, on August 15, 2003, in Arlington, TX. Together, they created a beautiful life, eventually settling in Whitesboro where they raised their two children, Triston and Hannah. Jeremiah was a devoted family man who found joy in spending time with those he loved, especially in the great outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and offroad adventures. Jeremiah was a true craftsman who took pride in every project he undertook. One of his favorite places to visit was Silverton, CO, where he enjoyed trails and the breathtaking landscapes.
A man of deep faith, Jeremiah was a member of OneChurch in Whitesboro, where he cherished his community and the fellowship with others. His selflessness, generosity, and thoughtfulness were the foundation of his character, and he will be remembered for the immense love he gave to all those around him. His heart was as big as his spirit, and his legacy will live on in the many lives he touched.
Jeremiah is survived by his loving wife, Krysta Gaither, and their children Triston and Hannah, all of Whitesboro; his father, Tim Gaither, and wife Caroline; his mother, Stacey Billingsley, and husband Tom; his sisters, Loree Ingram and Jennifer Gaither; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on January 30th from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville, TX. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on January 31st in the funeral home chapel, with committal service to follow at Liberty Cemetery, Gordonville, TX.
Memorial contributions may be made to Judy Nicholson Kidney Cancer Foundation.
