Jeremiah "Gem" Wooton August 11, 1993 – February 11, 2025
WOOTON, Jeremiah Thomas, known as Gem by friends and Bub by family, was born on Wednesday, August 11, 1993, in Hillsboro, Ohio, and passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, surrounded by those closest to him.
Gem is survived by his fiancée, Savannah "Sav" Smith; his sisters, Summer (Walter III) Stogner and Feather (John) Farler; Nephews, Walter Stogner IV and Grant Farler; Nieces Priscilla Stogner and Kiersten Farler; and his beloved cats, Rosemary and Alabaster. He was preceded by his mother, Debra Wooton.
Gem lived a life fueled by a deep passion for music and poetry. His creativity was a reflection of his soul, and his art continues to inspire all who knew him. He was a fierce protector of his loved ones, and his unwavering loyalty was a testament to the love and care he had for those closest to him. His kindness and compassion touched everyone he met, and he will be forever remembered for his gentle spirit and infectious smile.
Gem's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. To quote one of his favorite bands, The Smiths, Gem's soul is truly a light that will never go out.
Calling hours for family to receive visiting friends begin at 11am; Funeral Service to begin at 12pm, both will be held at Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025. He will be laid to rest, at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton. A celebration of his life will be begin at 1:30pm at Today Church: 1190 Richfield Center, Beavercreek, OH 45430. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring Gem's memory and the beautiful impact he had on their lives. May He Rest In Peace
