Jeremy Todd Rule, age 45, of Mount Vernon, TX passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2023 in Mount Pleasant, TX. He was born on March 8, 1978 in Dallas, Texas to Terry Rule and Barbara (Blakney) Rule.
Jeremy was of the Baptist faith. He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on cars. He collected broken items in need of repair and tinkered with them until he could get them fixed. He also enjoyed playing games on his phone, visiting with/staying in touch with friends, and rescuing those in need of assistance – always ready to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed.
Jeremy is preceded in death by his father, Terry Rule, and his grandparents.
Left to cherish Jeremy's memory is his loving family: mother, Barbara Rule of Mount Vernon, TX; sons: Joshua Rule of Hagansport, TX; Terry Wayne Rule of Hagansport, TX; Shon Rule of Mount Vernon, TX; and Jeremiah Rule of Mount Vernon, TX; grandson, Kyle Rule; sister and brother-in-law, Karli & Stuart Burt of Rockwall, TX; nieces, Raeleigh Burt and Audrey Burt of Rockwall, TX; and nephews, Tucker Burt and Parker Burt of Rockwall, TX.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, TX with visitation being held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Macon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Jeremy's memory be made to Mount Vernon-Saltillo Young Farmers Terry Rule Memorial Scholarship at MVS Young Farmers, c/o David Maxton, 1131 CRSW 3150, Winnsboro, TX 75494.
