Jeremy M. Sanders

Jeremy M. Sanders, 40, of Roscoe, IL passed away Friday, July 29, 2022. He was born February 14, 1982, in Rockford, IL the son of Joyce (Wenger) and Curt Sanders. Jeremy attended Hononegah High School graduating in 2000. This is also where he met the love of his life, Susanne Goddard. They were married on April 19, 2003. Jeremy had a passion for gardening and landscape design. His grandfather, George Wenger mentored Jeremy and created his first "KinderGarden" at 4 years old, and this passion transitioned to a career as a nurseryman. Jeremy's grandmother, Bobbe Wenger nurtured his love of music, cooking, and canning items from the garden. All of which Jeremy continued. Jeremy was a creative man with a great sense of humor and loved his pets. He enjoyed hiking, camping & fishing, tabletop gaming with friends and painting miniatures. Jeremy was a member of the Junior Men's Garden Club and won many awards. Jeremy was also involved in 4H where he won Reserve Champion for his cat Killer. Most of all, Jeremy loved just spending time with his beloved wife, Susanne. He will be deeply missed and forever in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him.
Jeremy is survived by his wife, Susanne; father, Curt Sanders; mother, Joyce (Wenger) Sanders; sister, Heidi Sanders; 4 nephews and one niece; father-in-law, George Goddard; mother-in-law, Debbie Schmidt; brother-in-law, Michael Goddard. He is predeceased by his grandparents and step father-in-law, John Schmidt.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation rites entrusted with Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jeremy's memory to Winnebago County Animal Services, 4517 N. Main Street Rockford, IL 61103 or Roscoe Veterinary Clinic, 5411 Bridge Street Roscoe, IL 61073.
