Jeri Emerson

Jeri Emerson, age 89, of Monroe, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025, in Monroe. She was born on Tuesday, May 26, 1936, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Jeri was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Hall Emerson; her father, Henry Joseph Endom; and her mother, Thelma Lucille Oliver Endom.

A woman of keen intellect and warmth, Jeri greatly enjoyed playing Bridge and was an avid reader. She was known for her social nature, delightful sense of humor, and her genuine gift for friendship. Those who knew her well remember her as a trusted friend-thoughtful, engaging, and always ready with a kind word or a well-timed laugh.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Bruce and husband Ronnie of Rayville, Louisiana, and Laura Marshall and husband Bob, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and by her cherished grandchildren, Jeremy Robert Marshall, Samantha Ellen Marshall Rudd, and Stephanie Claire Marshall.

Graveside services will be held at Garden of Memories on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

A reception will follow at The Louisiana Political Museum and Hall of Fame in Winnfield.
