Jeri Loretta Gee Hundertmark, formerly of Mooresville, passed away on March 27, 2023, at the age of 91 at the Hospice House in Sun City Center, FL. She was born on February 16, 1932, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Worthy D. Gee and Elsie L. (Wake) Gee. She was married to Thad R. Hundertmark, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by their four children, Hollie Fox (Mike), Lisa Abney (Jim), Thad R. “Rob” Hundertmark, Jr. (Donna) and Tim Hundertmark (Dawn), 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, as well as her sister, Dotty Guerrera, and several nieces.
Jeri graduated from Ohio State University with a B.S. in Physical Education and Health and earned a M.S. in Guidance and Counseling from Indiana University. She began her career in education as a physical education and health teacher, and then was a guidance counselor at Paul Hadley Junior High School for 25 years. After her retirement from the school system, she became a motivational speaker, giving workshops and seminars in building self-esteem. She was a member of the National Speakers Association, the National Council of Self-Esteem, a board member of the Indiana Chapter of the NSA and a board member of the Morgan County Mental Health Association.
She moved to Sun City Center, FL in 2003 and found many volunteer opportunities with a variety of local organizations – LifePath Hospice, the Kings Point library, multiple Bible study groups, Good Samaritan Mission, CARE Animal Shelter, Camp Bayou Outdoor Learning Center, SCC Emergency Squad, and the library at Aston Gardens.
She formerly was a member of the Mooresville Friends Church and attended various churches after her move to Florida. She was a self-taught folk artist and became accomplished in the art of Scherenschnitte (paper cutting) and many other forms of paper arts. She loved teaching and sharing her interests with others. Some of her artwork has been displayed in the President Benjamin Harrison House in Indianapolis.
A memorial service was held in Florida, with graveside services to be held at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville on May 12th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her memory to Camp Bayou, PO Box 507, Ruskin, FL 33570 or to the Library Fund at Aston Gardens at the Courtyards, 231 Courtyard Blvd, Sun City Center, FL 33573.

Jeri hosted the people of Mooresville Friends Meeting at their personal lake on many occasions. Jeri was a GREAT lady who took her son Tim and I to see the circus MANY times. Jeri was such a fine Christian lady. She had a fabulous attitude! Jeri will be missed by me and many others.
