Jerome Thomas Laubenthal, the son of Thomas and Helena (Bisenius) Laubenthal was born on April 3, 1943 on their family farm in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He graduated from West Bend High School in 1961. Following school, Jerome joined the National Guard. On June 23, 1978, he was united in marriage with Cynthia Gade at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in West Bend. Together they had four children, Carol, Theresa, Angie, and Todd; the couple lived in the West Bend area for their married lives. For twelve years they owned an ice cream shop in West Bend called Ice Cream Plus. Alongside the ice cream shop, Jerome raised cattle, enjoyed woodworking, and worked as a farmer most of his life. Jerome loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish Jerome's memory are his children, Carol (Larry Lappin) Laubenthal of Algona, Theresa (special friend Wayne Pratt) Laubenthal of Gilbert, AZ, Angie (Justin) Roethler of West Bend, and Todd (Emily) Laubenthal of West Bend; seven grandchildren; and several other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Helena, and wife, Cynthia.

Much sympathy to Jerome´s family. He was my godfather and was so thoughtful when I was younger. We enjoyed visiting him over the past years. Thoughts and prayers. Cousin Ann Metzger and Brad Bennett
