Jerome "Jerry" Paul Levanetz, age 76, of Two Rivers, entered eternal life on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at his home.
Jerry was born on June 2, 1949 to the late Raymond and Julia (Kenville) Levanetz in
Two Rivers, WI. He attended St. Lukes Catholic School and graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1969. After high school, Jerry went on to study at Lewis Hotel/Motel School in Milwaukee. On September 29, 1972 he met the love of his life, Gail Rathsack, at The Redbird. They were engaged 5 weeks later and married on September 29, 1973 at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in
Manitowoc, WI. Jerry worked for the Manitowoc Engineering Company / Manitowoc Cranes for 40 years in the shipping department from where he retired at the age of 60.
He loved art and painted many beautiful paintings, which he gave to family, friends and neighbors. Jerry did upholstery and reupholstered over 50 pieces of furniture during the past 50 years. He enjoyed gardening and garden design. Jerry loved the outdoors either working in his garden or running cocker spaniels on the beach. His biggest hobby was his 100-year-old home that he remodeled from top to bottom.
Jerry volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul in the furniture department and at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers serving for masses and funeral masses. He also volunteered at Rogers Street Fishing Village cleaning and maintaining the French Fishing Cottage.
His favorite volunteering, though, was being "Papa" to seven grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gail Levanetz, Two Rivers; three sons, Chad (Natalie) Levanetz, Green Bay, WI; C.J. Levanetz,
Two Rivers, WI; and Joel (Danielle) Levanetz, Solana Beach, CA; seven grandchildren, Emmy, Margo, Elijah, Luke, Alayna, Etienne and Milo; sister, Judy Jonas, Two Rivers; two brothers, Jon Levanetz, Two Rivers; and Jeff (Nancy) Levanetz, Rhinelander; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Julia Levanetz; brother, James Levanetz; baby brother, Joel Thomas Levanetz; brother-in-law, Winton Jonas; and two sisters-in-law, Judy Levanetz and Cindi Cooper.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Road, Two Rivers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. David Pleier with a luncheon to immediately follow at church. Cremation will take place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel at a later date with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Two Rivers.
