Jerri Cameron Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Goldfinch Funeral Home - Litchfield-Pawleys Chapel on Mar. 14, 2024.
It is with deep sorrow that Mr. Thomas Cameron and his family announce the death of his beloved wife, Mrs. Jerri Cameron.
Geraldine "Jerri" Tyler Cameron went home to be with her Heavenly Father on March 12th, 2024. The Directors of Goldfinch Funeral Home are caring for the family.
Jerri was born May 6th, 1938, to the late Monroe and Nettie Maude Tyler in Cool Springs, SC. They eventually moved to Conway, SC, where she lived until attending Nursing School in Greenville, SC. It was at Nursing School where she met the love of her life and husband, Tom Cameron, on a blind date. It was not long after, they were wed and have been happily married for 67 years.
Jerri worked as a nurse for almost 20 years before retiring to concentrate on what was the most important part of her life, her family. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially on the annual beach trips (which she always organized). She loved sitting on the beach under her tent, watching her children and grandchildren play all day. Thanksgiving was another big event for Jerri, and she looked forward to having family and any friends who needed a family for the holidays, spending Thanksgiving Day eating, laughing, reminiscing and watching football. She just loved the activity and fellowship. The more the merrier. She was full of life and never met a stranger. Whoever met her, immediately became a friend.
Jerri was an avid tennis and golf player. These are activities that she and Tom enjoyed together, which only helped to strengthen the bond between them. Although, she did enjoy winning, it was more a social event to enhance and develop relationships. Relationships that lasted a lifetime.
In addition to her parents, Jerri was preceded in death by her brother Tom Tyler and sister Maxine Dawes. They are all together again.
Jerri is survived by her husband, Tom Cameron of Pawleys Island, Children: Tom Cameron Jr. (Mary) of Myrtle Beach, Cathi Albert (Pete) of Merrimack, NH, Suzy Rizzo (Rick) of Brantford, ON Canada, Scott Cameron (Donna) of Hartsville, SC, Grandchildren: Heather Luce of Lowell, MA, Bridgett Harmon (Matthew) of Scarborough, ME, Chris Hafey of Florence, MA, Erin Koskela (Brent) of Manchester, NH, Scott Cameron Jr (Katrin) of Immenstaad, Germany, Cam Gosine (Mary) of Dracut, MA, Caitlyn Albert (Matthew) of Northwood, NH, Devon Rizzo of Brantford ON Canada, Emily Boyd (Jared) of Rock Hill, SC, Stevie Gosine of Merrimack, NH, Julianna Albert (Shane) of Worcester, MA, Great-Grandchildren: Wyatt, Alisha, Valerie, Cori, Oliva, Easton James, Ariella.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Goldfinch Funeral Home Litchfield/Pawleys Island Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in the name of Jerri Cameron to St Jude Children's Hospital.
