Jerri Dale (English) MacMeekin, 31, of The Woodlands, Texas, beloved mother to Georgia Grace, passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2024. Jerri was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on her own schedule, on March 16, 1993, to Stuart English and Ann Maree Johnson. She was a citizen of The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
Jerri graduated from Bixby High School in 2011, where she excelled as both a student and an athlete, having played competitive volleyball throughout high school. Jerri followed in her father’s footsteps, attending the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering in 2015. Also, she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. After college, Jerri pursued a career in engineering alongside her father at Paragon Services working as a senior estimator and portfolio manager. She was blessed to not only work with her father, but also other family members, including her husband, her two brothers-in-law, and cousin.
Jerri met her husband and love of her life, Brandon MacMeekin, at a charity event in Dallas in 2017, and the rest was history. She and Brandon married on Jan. 30, 2021, in Aubrey, Texas. The couple welcomed their daughter, Georgia Grace MacMeekin, on Dec. 14, 2023, just in time for Jerri’s favorite holiday--Christmas. It was Jerri’s lifelong dream to become a mother, and she soaked up every second she had with Georgia. Their family also has two dogs, Gatsby and Jax.
Jerri was an amazing wife and mother, and her family and friends meant the world to her. She and Brandon were active members of The Club at Carlton Woods, where they enjoyed golfing and socializing. Jerri was known for her love of travel, fashion, and fitness, but most importantly, time spent with family and friends. A passionate and selfless soul, she lit up any room graced by her presence. She will be forever remembered by her infectious laugh and beauty, both inside and out.
Jerri is survived by her parents Stuart and Dutchess English and Ann Maree Johnson; her sisters Kati Nash (Tracy), Lee Ann Fricker (Austin), and brother Hayden Johnson (Mia); grandparents Bob Lee English, Vincent Pizarro, and Barbara Johnsen; six nieces and nephews, Aliah Nash, Stefan Nash, Delilah Nash, Braxton Fricker, Melah Nash, and August Fricker, and her many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Jerri is preceded in death by her sister Hayley Johnson; her grandparents Mary English, Roy Johnsen, and Shea Pizarro; and her great-grandparents Harry and Maree Johnsen, Jerry and Patricia Atkinson, Lee and Edna English, and Tom and Leona Williams.
