Jerrold “Jerry” Wayne Stayer, 69, of Coopersburg, PA, died on June 24, 2025, at St. Luke's Bethlehem Hospital. Born in Allentown, PA, Jerry was the son of James Stayer and the late Alma (George) Stayer.
Jerry attended Palisades High School and graduated in 1973.
Jerry began working at American Olean Tile as a Laborer and moved on to working for Kraft and his favorite place yet, Hershey, where he shared chocolate with anyone not sick of eating it for the hundredth time, pound after pound.
His passion for life extended well beyond his professional endeavors. Throughout the years, Jerry enjoyed bowling with his brother on a weekly bowling league. He traded wits having long political discussions around dinner tables at holiday gatherings. Playing catch in the driveway with his young daughters was a cherished time. Jerry took yearly vacations with his wife and daughters solidifying memories his family will have for a lifetime. He enjoyed fishing, taking his boat out on the lake, and cruising around on his motorcycle. Jerry loved football and his trips out to Pittsburgh to see the Steelers with his nephews. Then he became a grandpa and shared many special moments doting on his grandchildren. He loved his family deeply and cherished his time spent with his family.
Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His presence is deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
On Jerry’s request, there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family kindly requests that you do something meaningful in his memory - whether it's spending time with loved ones, enjoying a quiet moment, or simply raising a glass and waving a Terrible Towel to honor his spirit.
