William Jerry Baxter, age 77, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Monday, September 23, 2024, at St. Thomas West Hospital.
Jerry was born June 29, 1947, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late Jessie and Ruth Elizabeth Ramsey Baxter. He was employed at ICP for many years and also worked as a painter. He was a member of Hardin Chapel Church of Christ. Jerry was well-known in Lewisburg as an avid walker at Rock Creek Park where he enjoyed meeting and talking to everyone he met. He never met a stranger! He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, daughters, grandchildren, brother, and all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Buford Lee Baxter.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Watt Baxter; two daughters, Emily Perryman of Lewisburg and Rachel (Gerald) Riley of Culleoka; one brother, Larry (Brenda) Baxter of Laws Hill; grandchildren Koey Inthavong, Lena Inthavong, Cash Perryman, Cruz Perryman, Jed Riley and Lucy Riley; several beloved nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Lone Oak Cemetery, 200 Lone Oak Drive, Lewisburg, Tennessee. All friends are welcome to attend the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Brian Woodard, Tyler Woodard, Ethan Spivey, Joseph Baxter, Chris Watt and Dylan Watt.
London Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
