Jerry, as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Jerry's smile and contagious laughter would light up the room, with such positive energy. A Tribute to Our Father
Today, we celebrate the life of a man who was the heart of our family - our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He was the definition of cool - laid back, steady, and full of quiet strength. He carried himself with a calm spirit that made you feel safe, loved, and at home. He didn't need to say much to make an impact. His presence alone was powerful.
Our father was a provider in every sense of the word. He worked hard without complaint, showing us what true dedication and responsibility look like. Through every season of life, he gave his all - not just to meet our needs, but to give us more than he ever had.
But what we'll never forget is his joy. He loved to dance, he loved to joke, and he had a laugh that could fill a room and lift your spirit. Laughter was his medicine, and he freely gave it to everyone around him.
He loved his children deeply, and that love only grew as he became a grandfather and then a great-grandfather. Each generation was blessed to feel the warmth of his love, the ease of his humor, and the strength of his example.
Though he may no longer be with us in body, his legacy - of love, laughter, and loyalty - lives on in every one of us.
We miss him dearly, but we carry him with us - in our smiles, in our stories, and in our hearts forever.
Rest well, Daddy. You were truly one of a kind.
In Loving Acknowledgment
We thank you all for standing near, For every hug, each silent tear.
Your prayers and kindness, words so true, Have helped us more than you ever knew.
Though our hearts are heavy, spirits low, Your love has helped our strength to grow.
In honor of the man we dearly miss, We send our thanks with a grateful kiss.
With every card, each call, each prayer, You've shown us how much people care.
From our family, please accept this grace, For lifting us in this hard place.
Forever grateful, The Blakely Family
