Jerry Boseneiler Obituary

Jerry William Boseneiler
Born: February 15, 1974 in Dixon, IL
Died: November 22, 2024 in Sterling, IL
Jerry William Boseneiler, 50, of Sterling, IL, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Allure of Sterling.
Jerry had a love for family, friends, food, and fun! His favorite activities included telling jokes, music, reading, coloring Mandalas, talking about the Cubs, and playing garbage. He was a very thoughtful, spirited man who always cared more about everyone else than himself.
Jerry had a passion for music and graduated from Elmhurst College with a degree in music business. He landed a job at Universal Records in Chicago where he worked for many years promoting new music and Jerry was awesome at it! He was able to meet many famous people including Weezer, The Cranberries, Gwen Stefani, Gavin DeGraw, Mel Torme, Snoop Dogg, Shaquille O'Neal, Jack Black and his favorite, Stevie Wonder!
Jerry was truly an inspiration to all! Unfortunately, at an early age, Jerry was diagnosed with MS and for 20 years his struggles were many. When his symptoms advanced, he was admitted to a nursing facility, where he mastered the use of a wheelchair and never let his spirit be conquered. If you ever had a chance to come into contact with Jerry, his first question would be "do you want to hear a joke"?
Jerry was proceeded in death by his father, Allen Boseneiler.
Jerry is survived by mother, Brenda Boseneiler; sister, Cheryl (Matt) Moeller; brother, Gary (Dawn) Boseneiler; Uncle, Curt Williams; nieces, Shannon (Mike) Kozub & Blake Boseneiler; nephews, Mason Moeller & Logan Moeller; and a new great niece, Kenli Kozub.
There will be a small family gathering at a later date. Any memorial contributions will be given to the activity department at Allure Of Sterling and Serenity Hospice. The family will also be giving a donation to the MS and AA groups that Jerry was involved in so they can have pizza/dessert in his memory!
Jerry's family believes that Jerry had a good part in keeping the coffee industry alive. They are now inviting you to help with their endeavor to drink more coffee and in doing so, remember and toast to Jerry and his love of coffee and for life!
Thank you to everyone who knew and befriended him. He was and will always be a very special person.
Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.

Since my sister coming to live at Allure Of Sterling back in July, Jerry has always greeted me with his "want to hear a joke". I never knew his last name. I did however know his dad. Such a touching obituary! Thank you to whomever wrote it.
