Jerry Brandon Obituary

Jerry T. Brandon, age 78, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away at Fairfield Medical Emergency on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026.

Jerry was born on June 8, 1947, in Logan, Ohio. He was the son of the late Claude and Betty Brandon.

He was a 1965 graduate of Starr-Washington High School; an Army veteran; and retired from AT&T after 34 years. He was a longtime 4-H adviser and a Fair Board member. He loved seeing kids learn new skills. He also was a collector of old tractors, guns, and old dogs. He spent years just watching the birds.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna; daughters, Heather Toy (Marc) of Athens and April (Brandon Key) of Lebanon, Tennessee; brothers, Mickey and Max (Karen); brother-in-law, John Cherry; and several nieces and nephews. Along with special coffee club buddies, Darin, George, and Fred; five dogs; three donkeys; two emus; and his restored '69 Camaro.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters-in-law, Dottie Cherry and Nita Brandon.

Per his request there will be no services.
