Jerry Wayne Bray, born on October 23, 1949, in Illinois, passed away peacefully in his home in Glen, Mississippi, on November 9, 2025. He was a beloved figure in his community and cherished by all who knew him. Jerry was known for his unforgettable personality, having never met a stranger and always being ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. He lit up every room he walked into and could pull a laugh out of anyone. Jerry was a longtime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and lived by the Lord. He took every chance he got to be in church and absolutely loved each and every member. The fellowship he got with them was something he greatly appreciated. Even when he wasn't working a job, Jerry enjoyed staying busy. Whether he was watching wrestling or western movies or keeping his vehicles and possessions in pristine condition, he liked to get things done. Above everything, however, Jerry loved his family.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Vicki Ann Bray; his children, John Bray (Beth), Donny Bray, Sr. (Melissa), David McCoy (Susan), Debbie Dean (Horace), and Linda McCoy; his grandchildren, Sarabeth Knight (Clayton), Tanner Bray, Donny Bray, Jr., Jonathan Ford (Peyton), Matthew Ford, Nathan Ford (Holly), Jonathan Mardis (Brianna Sculawl), Ashley Coleman (John), Nathaniel Mardis (Julie), Anna Mardis, Christian McCoy, and Jacy Taylor (Randy); his great-grandchildren, Presley Bray, Mary Blaire Ford, Rocky Taylor, Ryder Taylor, Reese Taylor, Rowan Taylor, Asher Mardis, Kyda Lynn Mardis, Ashton Chance Mardis, Kayden Tyler Mardis, James David Mardis, Silas Prisk, and Kaylen Mae Mardis; his siblings, Danny Bray and Linda Bellemore (David); his dog and best friend, Shiloh; and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jolene Ford; his parents, Ethel and Luther Bray; his brother, Donnie Bray; and his sister, Shirley Nichols.
