Wanda Marie Wright, 71, of Burnsville, Mississippi, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at her son’s home surrounded by family. Wanda was a fantastic woman and an even better mother and wife. She took great pride in her family, was very present and supportive, and was always there for them in any way she could be, every chance she got. Throughout the years, she either planned or attended all her children’s events and sporting activities and loved being able to show up for them. Wanda was a very caring, interesting woman that could talk with anyone and appreciated getting to know people. She enjoyed the arts, particularly musicals, plays, and Broadway shows, and she was a great seamstress.
Wanda is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Tommy Wright; her children, Shonnie Wright and Shane Wright; her grandchildren, Braelyn Wright and Kalee Hollingsworth; and a host of other loved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Maudie Glover; and her siblings, Larry Glover, Thurman Glover, and Bonnie Weathers. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Cindy Yarbrough for the loving care and support she showed to Wanda and her family.
