He worked in production and advertising sales at the Courier Journal and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.
Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Lewis Button; and mother, Alise Johnson Button.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Thelma Richardson Button; daughter, Jan K. Button Minton (Robert Sherman); and brother, Danny Thomas Button (Becky).
Cremation has been chosen with a graveside service to be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted with Joseph E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home.
