Jerry Cassity

Lawrence Jerry Cassity passed away peacefully at his home December 28, 2025 surrounded by his family. Jerry left this world as he lived his life, on his own terms.

Born on April 27, 1940, in Ogden, Utah, he was the firstborn son of J.T. and Phyllis Cassity. Three brothers followed: Bill (Jeri), Lee (Diane); and Jim (Sherri).

Jerry married the love of his life Elaine Beck on March 5, 1962. That marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple.

Jerry worked hard his entire life in retail and built his own chain of convenience stores that remained successful until his retirement. Throughout his years running Mini Mart he made many lasting friendships and regarded many as family.

He is survived by his wife Elaine; sons Troy , Rod , Chris (Cristal) , and Travis (Carrie) . Also surviving him are fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their appreciation for the care provided by A+ and especially to McKenna, Shalee and Kristen for brightening his days.

Viewings will be held Sunday, January 4, 2026, between 5 and 7 p.m. and Monday, January 5, 2026, between 9:40 and 10:40 a.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. The funeral will follow Monday at 11 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment; Washington Heights Memorial Park.
