Marilyn Hirschi Hill, 68, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026 from complications with cancer.

Marilyn was born on November 27, 1957, in Glendale, California, to Delbert and Marvell Hirschi. In her early youth, her family moved to Washington Terrace, Utah, and then shortly after settled in North Ogden, where Marilyn ultimately attended and graduated from Weber High School. It was during those years that she formed many lifelong friendships and began creating memories with friends who would remain dear to her for the rest of her life. After high school, Marilyn attended beauty school and she continued to do hair for friends and family for many years.

Marilyn was married to Kevin Hill, and while in Utah they had their first two children, Shalese and Shanna. As their young family grew, Kevin's career took them to Oregon where they then had Kayla and Clarke. Shortly after Clarke was born, they moved to Emmett, Idaho in the early 1990's which became home for the next 15+ years. Marilyn returned to school to earn her medical assistant degree, where she discovered a new joy in working with patients and the many lives she was able to touch. Marilyn lived in Emmett and made many dear friends until 2008, when she returned home to North Ogden, Utah.

She had a deep love for her faith and was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith was an extremely important part of her life and guided the way she lived and loved those around her.

Above all, Marilyn deeply loved her family and friends. She found immense joy in being a grandmother and loved spending time with all 17 of her grandchildren. Grandma, Grandma Marilyn, Nonna......all versions of her grandmother title made her light up each and every time! Whether it was playing card games or sharing treats and goodies, those times were forever cherished by her.

Marilyn is survived by her mother, Marvell Hirschi; her four children: Shalese Cerniglia (Rob) and their children Gage, Carter, Jett, Ryder; Shanna Clayson (Trevor) and their children Molly, Kendall, Brea, Case, Oakley; Kayla Livingston and her children Bentley, Capri, Lincoln, Royce, Cora, their father Derek Livingston; and Clarke Hill (April) and their children Emmett, Harper, and Mason. Marilyn is also survived by her three siblings Mark Hirschi (Diane), Joan Miller (Jim), and Kathryn Owen (Don).

Marilyn will be remembered for her love of family, friends, and faith. The kindness and thoughtfulness she showed to all those she knew lifted them up and was positively contagious. She was never without a smile and her legacy of "Live, Laugh, Love" will be cherished forever.

By Marilyn's request and in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her honor. All donations will be used to help cover funeral expenses, and any remaining amount will be donated to charities that were selected by Marilyn before her passing.
