On a peaceful night promising the renewal of Spring and all its vibrancy, Karen Rhonda Willie Worthen, achieved rest at the age of 63, surrounded by her family.

Karen led a very challenging life beginning as a young adult. Her earthly trials were many, however, she pursued an education, some hopes and dreams, and knew the joy of motherhood. Being called mom and grandma were her greatest accomplishments.

She was born 11/11 at 11 a.m. in 1962 to Rand and Anna Rose Stoll Willie of North Ogden. She graduated from Weber High School and Cosmetology School. She married Wes Worthen in her well-planned fairytale wedding. They were later divorced.

Karen enjoyed 90’s Country music, dancing, and being with her family. She loved deeply and had a quick wit. Karen resided at Hidden Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care for many years.

Karen’s light lives on in her family: daughters, Shonnie (Kevin) Sessions, and Bailee (Justin) Cevering; her grandchildren, Jake, Mialee, and Kendyl Sessions; Austin Cevering; five additional grandsons blessed upon her by her son, Tyler (Tara) Worthen: Caden, Cole, Jarrett, Jackson, Kamden.

She is survived by one brother, Ron (Anna) Willie; sister, Roxan Ellsworth; sister, Mary (Dave) Rice; and sister, Sandy (Steve) Johnson; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death recently by her beloved son, Tyler James Worthen and parents.

We take immense comfort in their reunion. She is joined by two brothers-in-law, Steven Ellsworth and Mark Wilcock.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hidden Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care along with Symbii Hospice for the loving care and friendship extended to Karen throughout the years.

Services will be live-streamed and available the day of the services by scrolling to the bottom of Karen’s obituary page at: www.lindquistmortuary.com where condolences may also be shared.
