Jerry Lynn Craft

Jerry Lynn Craft, age 75, of Hopkinsville, KY, joined his Father's Heavenly Kingdom on Thursday, January 15, 2026, of natural causes at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Crawford officiating and burial to follow in Ridgetop Cemetery in Crofton. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 12:00 PM Noon until the service time at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Jerry was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on February 12, 1950, the son of the late Roscoe and Alam Stinnett Craft, the ninth of thirteen children, and the twin brother of Brenda Spurlin. He retired from Hopkinsville Fire Department after 27 years of service from being a firefighter, EMT, and fire inspector for the City of Hopkinsville and continued working as a self-employed master carpenter. He was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church. His greatest joys in life came from five things: Watching University of Kentucky Basketball (He hadn't missed one single game since 1969), working outside in his yard, driving his red Corvette, cracking a good joke, and telling anyone who would listen how much he loved his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Eldred Craft, Ernest Craft and Charles Craft; and his sisters, Barbara Woosley, Phyllis Palmerton, Wilma Bishop, Charlene Scott and Shirley Craft in infancy.

Survivors include his son, Jeremy Lee (Jenny) Craft of Springfield, TN; his daughters, Tracey Craft (Ben) Reed of Nashville, TN, Haley Brooke Walker of Hopkinsville, KY; his grandchildren, Taylor Jade and Maddox Andrew Walker of Hopkinsville; Sosie Caroline Reed of Nashville, TN; Olivia Erin and Emily Kate Craft of Springfield, TN; William Benjamin, Kagan Riley, Deacon Reeves, Caroline Grace, and Eleanora Marie Harrison all of Hopkinsville; and his great-grandson, Sawyer James Legate of Hopkinsville. He was the stepfather of Lindsey Grace (David) Harrison and Tim Wilson both of Hopkinsville; and was known as "Dad" by Eddie (Tina) Haby of Temple, TX. His surviving siblings include Brenda Spurlin, Paul Craft, Wanda Craft Porter, and Dale Craft all of Hopkinsville. And then there was his Jan…He loved Janet Craft for over thirty years.
